Amendment to Indian Stamp Act, 1899
applicable w.e.f. 1st July 2020
In exercise of power given by section 11 of the Finance Act, 2019,
Ministry of Finance vide notification no S.O. 1226(E) dated 30th March
2020 has notified amendment in notification
of Ministry of Finance published vide S.O. 115(E) dated 08th January
2020.
Effective of Notification No. S.O. 1226(E) dated 30th March
2020
Vide this notification, applicability of provisions of Finance Act, 2019
related to amendment in Indian Stamp Act, 1899 is deferred and now the
amendment will be effective from 1st July 2020.
